Review on Koss KPH14G Side Firing Headphone (Green) by Alex Jones

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It's a head and ear clamp

I currently have a Sony DR-BT22, MDR-A30 and MDR-W24. I've also owned countless Sony headphones and headphones from the good old days. Sony from the good old days sounded really great. I'm trying to find one as good as any from Sony. This Koss KPH14W is not the right one. The specification printed on the package is as follows. Plug 3.5mm. The cable is 4 feet long. 100-15,000 Hz. I think the best I can describe is that Sony sounds like an expensive 2.1 speaker system with clear sound and amazing bass. Koss is a very average 2.0 speaker system. This is not bad FM/AM radio. This is just an average. Your car radio sounds better. The Koss fit is very poor. This is for a child with a small head. Koss is at least an inch smaller than Sony. The plastic material is hard plastic. It sticks so tight to my head and ears. That hurts. Compared to Sony plastic, Sony uses a soft flexible rubber plastic. Sony is soft as a pillow but very comfortable at the same time. I have to take advice from other reviewers. I use a hair dryer to soften the plastic. So I can bend it wider. It's wider, but still short and uncomfortable. Of the pluses, Koss has the longest cord. It's 4 feet long. The fork has an angle of 140 degrees. I have several photos. White is Koss. The picture of Koss inside the package shows how dense it is. This is a clamp. You can see how far I have to bend it to make it fit better. I cannot recommend this Koss. It's too small for an adult and the sound is just average.
