*Updated 4/28/21 - It's been two months and I still haven't charged the battery. This is madness. I use the keyboard every day. I know it goes into deep sleep when you're not using it, but still. Perfect! Remember that you don't have to charge your device every day. That's how you kill a battery. * I bought an iPad to replace my Chromebook. Of course, I needed the keyboard I'm used to on Chromebooks. After searching Revain and looking at the reviews (which in itself is a problem as many of the reviews are fake or paid for) I found this one with great reviews and genuine reviews. The only thing I didn't like was that this keyboard didn't have a trackpad, which I used a lot. But I decided to try anyway. Here is my honest review (unpaid or one where the seller will refund some or all money if you give them 5 stars) after using it daily for over 2 weeks: Keyboard itself: The keyboard is small, but large enough for me to type comfortably and quickly. The buttons are similar to those I've used before. I type very quickly and there is never a lag or anywhere it doesn't register. The keyboard sits on my lap, on a pillow, or on my desk so I can type comfortably. One of the downsides is that the keys leave attractive fingerprints. One of the photos I posted shows this. I always try to wash my hands before using it so I don't get my fingers on the keys. Backlight: Backlight was a must as I sometimes turn off the main room lights and view/print in the dark. This was one thing I didn't like about my Chromebook as the letters were hard to see in the dark. However, I have no problems with this keyboard. You can change colors and brightness, although a low setting is ideal. I don't understand why anyone needs it at altitude. Weight: The iPad doesn't tilt the keyboard like I thought, even if it exceeds 100 degrees. While you can flip the screen to use the iPad as a tablet, it's too heavy to carry comfortably to bed. It's fine if you sit and hold it like a tablet, but don't lie down. This should be noted. Function Keys: There are several function keys that provide quick access to the main screen (same function as the home button); Brightness; open keyboard; Seek; Copy; Insertion; media control; volume and screen lock to name a few. There is a dedicated backlight button (on, medium and high); command button. There are arrow keys and page up/down. Functionality: I like the overall functionality (180 and 360 degrees). You can use it as a tablet (the keyboard folds behind the iPad) or as a mini laptop (with a keyboard). All port cutouts are ok. No problem connecting the charger to the iPad. It took me a while to get used to finding the power button when the keyboard was open. I had to "look for the button" as it's hard to see. Cutouts for volume and camera are fine. Closing the keyboard puts the iPad to sleep, and opening it wakes the iPad, which is great. Battery: I haven't charged it in 2 weeks and use the keyboard every day. I turn it on around 8am in the morning and turn it off when I go to bed. The keyboard goes to sleep after about a minute if you don't use it. It's a little annoying when you want to type, as you have to press the key at least twice to wake up the keyboard, but I understand this is meant to save power. Bluetooth consumes a lot of power. The keyboard has a dedicated on/off switch. So if you don't use everything, you can turn them off. I wish there was a way to know how much battery is left. Overall I am very happy with the keyboard. I just wish it had a trackpad. Sometimes small links or icons appear on the screen where my fingers are too big to register properly. A trackpad would be great. If we look at the keyboard, we could add a small one. But I knew that before I bought it. The keyboard also offers excellent protection for the iPad. All in all I recommend it. It looks good, works well, has great battery life (for now), and you can flip it over to use your iPad as a tablet. I'll post an update in a month or two. I'm curious to see how much the battery performance decreases. The battery life is always great at first, but can quickly decrease depending on the quality of the battery. Don't constantly charge your keyboard or other devices. That's how you kill a battery.
