I wear a pocket square with jackets every day, so I decided to give it a try. The good thing is that it maintains a low/flat profile in your pocket which means the fabric of the pocket square won't bunch up and your pocket square won't slide further into your pocket. The downside is that it limits the width of your pocket square to the width at the top (widest slit), making the pocket square narrower than your preferred pocket width. This was a real downside for me as your pocket square ends up looking too tight for the pocket.
