I have this mount to attach to my desk and to place my 27" monitor over the main monitor. He did his job excellently. You can use it on the desk or it can also be used in the grommet form, works both ways and comes with everything to make it go both ways. stuck there and didn't scratch it or move at all, very safe. The range of motion on this thing is wonderful. You can rotate in both directions, you can raise the monitor very high or move it all the way down. You can rotate the monitor and also tilt it slightly. You can lock the incline to make it harder to move so it stays the way you set it. Cable, so that in addition to the basic functions, a very comfortable cable management is given. It holds my monitor up either high above my desk or above my main monitor and hasn't moved at all from where I placed it. It is very well built and looks like it will last a very long time. I was very impressed with the mount and am very glad I decided to use it as it did exactly the job I needed.
