Review on 🐱 Tall Wall-Mounted Cat Tree: Wood Climbing Tower Activity Furniture for Indoor Cats with Scratching Post by Sandra Johnson

This week I assembled and installed this scratching post and today I noticed that the wooden shelf with the car head cut out was already split. I'm not sure if this is just my problem or a design flaw. I've arranged for a return but was disappointed that there wasn't an easy way to easily replace the defective part. My one star rating reflects the difficulty in getting a full refund due to defective parts. Aside from the broken shelf, the wood seems to be of better quality and stronger than other scratching posts I've had, but the split shelf is a deal breaker. I'm also considering just going to a hardware store and cutting the board to size as my cats don't seem to like shelves with holes anyway, but I haven't decided if it's worth the extra cost.
