This laundry hamper is great for the laundry around my house. We hang most of our laundry on the clothesline and have to go down the stairs to the clothesline. A normal laundry basket is not suitable. This basket is used to carry wet laundry up the steps and then dumps it onto the lawn from the top of the step. Since the basket is very high, the laundry stays in it when it is tipped out. The basket has handles that make it much easier to carry. When the laundry is hung up and the basket is empty, I have a hook to hang the empty basket by the handle so it doesn't blow away in the wind. The basket is well made, especially the handles. They look like a heavy canvas strap and are sewn on very well. This is way better than faux leather handles which crack over time.
