I have some lovely rose scented sachets that I bought in England a few years ago. When comparing sachets of this rose water, the difference is clearly noticeable. This rose water smells of age and decay. Supposedly good for six months after opening, but when I removed the cork I didn't get the impression that the bottle was vacuum sealed. Maybe I got a bottle from an old batch. There is no date on the packaging, although the company will tell you an expiration date. It smells like cheap rose water from discount stores, not fresh, rich rose water. Of course it's cheap, so you get what you pay for. I'm considering going back and looking for more expensive and flavorful rose water, maybe Norstrom or Macy's.
