Pearl beads fall off immediately

Bought for my daughter's Halloween costume. Unfortunately some of the beads fell off when I took them out of the packaging and they still fall off with careful handling. Halloween was just around the corner so we kept it for the costume but it doesn't cost anything other than a one night stand.
