It's not possible!

I am so disappointed. I got this as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. We just hooked it up and I was so excited to impress it, but it literally doesn't work? I'm pretty confused. It worked for a second while trying and now it doesn't work anymore. I will return and choose a different product. video attached.
