Good idea, blunt design
If you have a standard Nikon or Canon flash or something the same size, you literally have to fight this beast on the flash and risk destroying the flash in the process. I like the idea that one base fits all, but that's a stretch (no pun intended). Unless you plan on setting this to flash permanently, I would steer clear of it as sooner or later you will destroy your flash.
