My Fire 9th Edition 10 Tab could not recognize the disc. Also tried this in my printer same result. I found an old 16GB SD card and installed it in my Fire and it was recognized immediately. I only cover the costs as I do not return the defective drive. It could potentially contaminate another product if resold.
