Review on Eva Dry Edv 1100 Electric Petite Dehumidifier by Vincent Poolaw

This is our second purchase of the same knot for our boat and the second that we have modified. The first was in March 2015 and it's still rattling down in the cabin. It's amazing how much moisture this unit pulls out, and it's noticeable with our onboard stored snacks and meals, too. It works so well we bought another one to reduce cabin humidity this winter. However, since we can't always be on the boat to drain the tank, we modified the units to drain themselves. I drilled a 1/4" hole in the front of the tank and added about three feet of 1/4" clear tubing and then sealed the tubing/hole with Loctite epoxy. (Loctite is a much stronger and more reliable method of sealing plastic than silicone. Sealant) We just clip the end of the hose into the sewer and we're done.
