I wanted to like this product but had to return it. The problem lies in the amount of fat in the body. I noticed that they seemed to be tracking my weight directly as it went up and down a few pounds over a period of weeks. So I decided to do an experiment. I got my starting numbers and then immediately weighed them with a bunch of files in hand. As expected, my weight gained 20 pounds (about 10%). However, my body fat percentage also increased from 28% to almost 33%. Accordingly, my lean body mass increased by 5 pounds and the amount of subcutaneous visceral fat by about 15-20%. If the bioimpedance sensor were accurate, it should measure body fat percentage decreasing rather than increasing. My only conclusion is that this scale does nothing but measure body fat using a few general formulas. This information might be a little helpful, but I doubt most people would find it acceptable. However, it's a pretty decent scale and the Bluetooth functionality worked really well for me. If I didn't have a good digital scale, I might leave it. But the fact that it didn't work with its most important function made me bring it back.
