Review on πŸŽ€ STM Grip Hardshell Minimalist Case: Pink 15-Inch MacBook Pro Retina (Model 122-010P-21) by Mark Meyer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality for bags, cases and covers

Very smooth and closes easily without too much pressure. It shows no fingerprints. This case is opaque so the Apple logo isn't visible if that's important to you. I love the micro suede lining on the inside of the top and bottom and this was the only case I found with this type of protection. Horizontal edge The lower part is slightly raised at the front. It's a little annoying, but the edges are smooth and don't hurt my wrists. I wouldn't call it a soft-touch grip because it's not a "sticky" type of soft rubber, so it feels smooth and slippery, even off the ridges. There are 4 very shallow rubber feet (about 5 cents in diameter) at the bottom of each corner but they are made of the same material as the cap and therefore provide no traction. I'm using a Logitech corner desk and my Macbook Pro (rMBP) screen slid right off it. I'm a bit let down by the lack of traction, but it offers better grip and protection than cool, slick aluminum. Without the lap table, the rMBP feels a bit hot at the base. I bought it from a Revain seller and see it is now being sold by another seller. There were some (good) reviews about the Revain seller but they have disappeared. As with the other reviewer, there is a slight gap on the underside on both the left side and the front horizontal edge that I would have preferred to have fitted more snugly. Overall it's well made and has a high quality finish, but I'm disappointed with the lack of grip.
