Update: Yes the suction failed but saved my colorful rope system :-). I should mention, however, that I attached it to a diffuse shower glass, which isn't perfectly smooth. First, tilt the suction cups up, then press the surface and pull the basket down to create suction. That's a strong connection. The problem is that most suction systems lose their full power over time and depending on the weight can fall to the ground. Because it is hard plastic, it may break. I think the key point is how much weight can you put on it? What we like: We like how strong the suction is initially - time will tell. There is room for a razor at each end. You show the toothbrush, but in the shower? It has holes in the bottom for the drain but they missed the ends so I'm going to drill a few more holes. This is a great size for storing a variety of things from soap to shampoo bottles. No metal! Let's be honest, we've tried many metal containers, including stainless steel, and they all rust - this one definitely won't! He's really perfect for us, except we really don't know how much he can take before he falls to the ground. So we "made" a shower trolley by adding nylon ropes to hang these baskets. Nylon (or synthetic) rope comes in a variety of colors, allowing you to create something pretty cool, somewhat nautical. We have another basket that is already "tied" and hanging on plastic above the door hanger. We add another colorful rope from the top basket to this one for minimum peace of mind. Aside from not trusting suction cups 100% this is a great basket, perfect size, with drainage holes and looks good, well that's clear so it can't look bad.
