The problem with failed projects is that sometimes it takes more than a month to get started. This was the case with my ductless AC installation. I bought all my tools from Revain including this Hilmor Flare set. The set was the most expensive instrument I have ever bought. I was trying to flare a 3/8" pipe and the last twist of the handle tripped the spring loaded plastic sleeve. It's not broken, it's just torn. Subsequent use of the tool caused the clutch to engage on the first turn, preventing the flare from completing. The problem is that the plastic part slides off the steps and actually stops the flanging process. I don't have a return period so I'll be contacting Hilmor to see what they can do to resolve the issue.
