Review on Little Girls' School Uniform - Keds School Sneaker in White by Mark Adlesh

This is not a review of a seller or Revain, it is of the shoe itself. I also never write reviews but I am so fed up with this issue that I feel obliged to give someone else a headache or wasted money to save. My daughter has had to wear this type of shoes at her school for the past 7 years. Having bought SEVERAL pairs over the years I would say almost half have had to be replaced due to mold smell. This odor appears immediately after wearing and is completely random - I've now learned to recognize a faint odor when the shoes are brand new and unworn. After a few weeks of wear (and my child has no problem with overly sweaty or smelly feet - hasn't had a problem with any other shoe) the "mold" smell becomes unbearable. Some purchases were made on Amazon and some locally. No rhyme, no reason. Since the smell is so strong that the other kids in the carpool are complaining and I'm tired of spraying or darning dryer sheets, I buy a new pair when replacing and there's a 50/50 chance they'll have this problem have or not. It may be a chemical used in a specific factory, but the smell is ridiculous and strong enough to cause problems for my child. So be careful when you buy these shoes, crazy as it may sound, smell them. If there is any indication of an odor that differs from the usual smell of new shoes/leather, replace them! I pretty much have a bin full of shoes because I didn't, thinking it was an accident, but it's been like this for quite some time now. I have a very sensitive nose, but I've been told they smell like many others who don't have a strong sense of smell. It's absolutely ridiculous how much money is spent on shoes because once you wear them you can't return them and then the smell becomes irresistible!
