Fight insomnia! in compact radios and stereos

I suffer from insomnia which is made worse by living in a noisy house. I used to feel trapped - couldn't wear earplugs because I had to hear the alarm clock, couldn't sleep because I was annoyed with chores. This alarm clock really works once you figure out the settings. Now I can sleep with earplugs and wake up on time. I place the vibrator under the mattress pad near the foot of the bed and it's gentle but firm. I was a little afraid that the vibration would be too strong and I would wake up scared every day, but that's not the case at all when I set it up. I suspect it will have a stronger "shake" if you put it under your pillow or at the head of your bed. I like the dimming feature on the dial. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that it takes some practice to figure out the settings when using the 12-hour time format. I switched to the 24 hour time setting and the alarm goes off as intended. All in all, a great investment in a good night's sleep and a pleasant morning.
