Very good system for the price when it works. Unfortunately, I've had a few issues with it and my experience seems normal. Even with expensive high-speed cables, the HDMI ARC input was sometimes not recognized. After struggling with this for a few days, I gave up and went from source to TV via HDMI and from TV to the soundbar via optical audio. In theory, the optical sound quality isn't that great, but I certainly can't tell the difference, so this workaround works for me, but it's not ideal. a Logitech) Attempts to work only from a very specific angle. I can control the volume from my phone using the Vizio app, but that's obviously a lot more of a hassle than a regular remote control. I'll get an IR repeater and see if I can improve the performance in a way that doesn't make it look too noisy, but I don't need to do it on a brand new device. Overall it's hard to complain too much given the cheapest option in its class and it sounds great when everything works but if I could do it again I'd spend a little more and hopefully get these issues out avoid.
