I bought this SanDisk card with the new Canon Digital Rebel XSi. I needed a high capacity card as 12MP RAW files take up a lot of space. I also bought an 8GB Transcend card as a backup and I feel like a lot of people are looking at that card. Many are probably wondering why this card costs so much more and the answer is speed. The XSi is not a fast camera by DSLR standards, but I can see a clear difference in the recording speeds of this camera and the Transcend card. I like shooting with auto bracketing for HDR photography and this card clears the buffer faster when I need to take multiple shots. Other than that I can't tell too much of a difference. I haven't had a card long enough to fail, so I can't comment on that. If you're willing to shell out a few bucks more, I think the write speed of this card is worth it.
