I bought this charger in September 2018. Now 4 months have passed. I get an error message on my Dell laptop when I connect a valid AC adapter. Or something like that. It gives me the message often enough to be annoying. I can't physically go wrong on the outside of the cable. I can only assume it will last a few more months and then I'll have to buy a new one. The seller apparently read my review, emailed me, the end result was a new cable which was shipped to me immediately. Problem solved. Excellent customer service/seller. UPDATE NOW: It has been 8 months since the seller replaced the cable. I found the power supply lasted 8 months before the problem started. There are no visible signs of a broken cable. Now I have to get the cable back. The original Dell PSU that came with this laptop lasted 10 1/2 months before I had to replace it.
