These are so bright, thank God! Tired of working in the fading light of aging CFL vortex lamps, I attempted to replace the dying CFLs with LEDs. For some applications I have to use the more traditional "bulb" shape as some lampshades have clips that slide right over these smooth tubes. But in some devices, smoothness is an advantage.
