This is the first TRS wireless system I've used so I have no comparative experience and my studio is very small so I don't have any useful information on its range. I don't know yet about the overall life of the battery before it needs a charge as I've only had it a month, played many hours and it's not dead yet. But I can say that the instructions were very clear, so the transmitter is easy to connect to the receiver and the sound quality is as good as the cable, with a very pleasant surprise: my Strat has conventional single-coil pickups, which normally use the produce expected noise of 60 Hz when connected to a speaker. amplifier and a pickup are selected, but because this wireless device is completely isolated from the AC line, it does not have a ground reference loop and does not pick up AC noise. This makes my Strat completely silent, save for the noise you would expect from touching the strings or body, but there's no AC hum. Finally, the main reason I chose this wireless system is that it can transmit stereo. The transmitter and receiver have 1/8" TRS stereo plugs, so they can be used with devices that are equipped with 1/8" stereo plugs, but they come with four 1/4" TRS adapters to connect supplied to the TRS connectors on equipment, one set for mono instruments like most guitars and one set for stereo equipment like my MIDI workstation/keyboard However, note that the receiver's TRS output is not a "balanced" type, it is a L/R line out with ground; no big deal since the receiver doesn't have a wire to pick up the noise.
