Review on Corsair Nightsword RGB Gaming Mouse – Ergonomic, Tunable, 18000 DPI, Backlit RGB LED, Black by Srinivas Johnson

Failure after 4 months - EDIT: Wait, no.

I thought the reviews of left clicks causing malfunctions were isolated cases and most of them were fine. It's not, at least not in my case. I got this mid-October, in December I noticed the occasional "double tap" when left clicking, but I figured it was just me. Over time this happens more and more often and now I'm ready to replace it in February. It's annoying enough when it happens in everyday tasks and while playing The Sims that I can't picture myself as an epic hardcore gamer who absolutely needs precision in their hardware. I would grind my Doritos into a fine powder to deal with the phantom double click. This is what you get for $70 from a well-known brand. Now that I'm disappointed with both the Nightsword mouse and the K70 keyboard, I'll steer clear of Corsair products. Don't waste your money like me. EDIT: Eventually, after using it more, the double tap somehow resolved itself. One thing I particularly noticed is that one particular program (irfanview) sometimes freezes and double-clicks or doesn't switch between images at all, and I believe that was mostly the cause of the problem. I noticed that it moves through the in-app buttons, scroll wheel, and arrow keys on the keyboard. Nothing seems to happen twice anymore. It still sucks that he ever did that because he's done it in other places. I'll say it's quite comfortable to hold, and I can't live without the back button anymore, which of course has my thumb next to it. The forward and sniper buttons in front of him are hard to reach, and I have pretty long fingers. Rating changed from 1 to 3 stars.
