This is a pretty good set of sheets, but it doesn't work well with a 1.5 inch mattress topper as it keeps peeling off the mattress and topper. Also, the corner was torn at the seams from having to constantly pull the sheets over the mattress. The material is soft enough, but it's definitely not as soft as some lyocell sheets, but those that literally work 3x more feel a lot nicer, but it's premium. I'm talking about the common sheets that I use in everyday life. I would have used them for much longer if they hadn't had issues with the mattress topper. California King bedding is slightly more expensive on average, and this set is the same. I'm a little frustrated with the review because it tore at the seam, but then again I have a mattress pad which makes it a little deeper and it probably wouldn't have fallen apart if I hadn't used that mattress pad. Pros: Good quality fabric Not flimsy Material Gets softer with wash Dark nice color Good sheet set Cons: Doesn't match mattress pad well Not as soft as some other sheets (until I washed them)
