This IWMH office chair fits very well in almost any office, but is also an excellent chair for small, cramped office spaces. Like most office chairs, this item comes in a large, heavy box and you will need to do some assembly work. I had a little damage in shipping - the base collar was dented - but that was just cosmetic damage to the chair. Assembly takes around 20-30 minutes depending on how many office chairs you have assembled over the past few years. Assembly is very simple: put on the wheels, insert the gas bottle stand, fasten the lever control panel to the underside of the seat with 4 screws, connect the armrests to the underside of the seat, then connect the backrest to the armrests. and drop the whole seat onto the gas bottle holder. Threading the screws through the levers into the back of the seat is a one person job, but one person can do it. It's just easier with two people at this stage. Once you have everything together you can put in some plastic end caps to make the armrests look better. Unfortunately, it is difficult to pull these covers out again. Therefore, I recommend, at least initially, not to use the screw covers for the first month. This allows you to tighten and then cover the screws after the first month of using the chair. I would say the seat is very suitable for anyone up to 6ft tall. The back of the chair is only about 30 inches high, from the back of the seat to the top of the headrest. So if you're over 6' the chair will be fine for 30-120 minutes but you won't benefit from a headrest as it's too low for you. However, for everyone else, the seat cushion is good and suitable for an 8-hour working day. The seat back is made of mesh fabric with plastic lumbar support. Your back doesn't sweat when you sit in a chair for a long time. The chair is height adjustable with a lever under the seat and offers comfortable rocking. You can also lock/lock the rocking function with the lever. All in all a solid chair. However, where this chair excels is in cramped offices. Or where you might have a desk in a cramped bedroom. If you have enough room to reach the underside of the table, you can raise the armrest so it's parallel to the backrest and slide the chair all the way under the table. This is a great space saver. The chair also works well in smaller music venues where you might have a desk with a laptop but also want to play the guitar and record something. Just raise the armrests and you can play guitar while seated. Then lower the armrests while you work on your recording software for any edits and processing you want. So if you just need an office chair this is a good buy but you can find cheaper options. there are just as good. However, if you need to tuck the chair completely under your desk or want to play guitar while seated, this chair should be high on your shopping list.
