We replaced another flashlight that had come loose from the base. This light is great, energy efficient and works well but it is being placed in a carpeted room and as it is quite heavy it is not very stable. he didn't fall or anything but it looks like he could very easily. I think the base is a bit small in diameter for the height of the lamp. The globe is plastic, which helps with the heaviness mentioned above, but it's a little flimsy, but it looks good, and unless you touch it, you can't tell it's plastic. Result. Good lamp, good price, energy efficient, has an LED bulb that can be replaced which is great as you don't have to throw out the whole bulb when the bulb goes out, best on uncarpeted floors.
