This is definitely for short people and 5'1" is exactly what I was looking for. They just came together and although there were broken parts in the box, nothing interfered A clip on one of the armrests broke after a single use (but it still works, taped to keep it in place) However after two weeks of sitting 8 hours a day more padding on the seat base would definitely do help. and be sure to flip it. It doesn't always go where I move it and it tends to tip over if you sit too far forward without a footrest to balance it. For the price, it's half the price of a Chair designed specifically for short people but I feel I sacrificed a lot to save this money.
