Review on ๐Ÿ“ธ Neewer Speedlite for Panasonic Cameras: Digital Standard by Chris Hanson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Speedlite is worth every penny, love it!

First of all I'm an amateur, I shoot for fun. I bought a Canon 580, 430 and ST-E2 a long time ago and recently I've been thinking about buying two more flashes for the backlight and hair light although I don't want to spend a few hundred bucks and this is it perfect solution. and I'm thinking about buying two more (other models) to get rid of the expensive OEM flash. I have seen many people ask if it is compatible with certain models of big brand cameras and the simple answer is yes as big brand cameras have uniform hot shoe and this flash only has one contact once brand compatible and for all popular models suitable is. Pros: Build quality is very good and it doesn't feel like a $30 product. Easy to use; If you put the camera on top, use "M" mode; When the camera is off-camera, another flash fires, manually set to "S1" mode. and if another camera is lens-triggered (ETTL), set the mode to "S2". The optical slave trigger is very sensitive and has no physical blockage. (I didn't test it outdoors as I mainly used it indoors) Charging time is good, full power takes 3-4 seconds; 1/2 power for approx. 1 second; the rest requires no waiting time. Cons: No complaints about it yet. I think it's a $30 flash, what more could you ask for? I've only had it for a few weeks, may update later with experience.
