I just received a micro HDMI cable for my Kindle Fire HD. It took about 20 seconds, 20 seconds to connect and now I can watch my Revain and Netflix movies and anything that pops up on my Kindle screen on my TV! I think it would be great for the visually impaired who love to read and have trouble reading a book on a 32" screen (or even bigger!). I haven't downloaded a book to my Kindle to read on TV, but what I'm typing will show up on my TV. Now! I was playing some of my songs and the sound is coming out of the TV. The album covers are on TV and I've been watching YouTube! . All you have to do is connect one end of the micro HDMI cable to your Kindle Fire HD and connect the other end to your TV (4 seconds!). Go to the TV settings (I did it manually because my TV is connected to cable so I have no idea where the TV remote is and the cable company remote couldn't get me to change the settings to change automatically) and go to HDMI 2 ( This was on HDMI 1 because it was connected to cable programming. Your HDMI number might be 3 depending on your brand). boom!. Okay, actually it took 5 seconds! So in less than 20 seconds you have Kindle TV. If I want to go back to cable, I just switch back to HDMI 1! I am also charging my Kindle while writing this review! It's $10 with a 15 foot cable (so you know I'm relaxing while I type this). I went on YouTube to see if there were any tutorials and there was a young man who made it sound so easy. It really is like that! I wish I could remember this site but I can't. I know very little about computers, but that's a lot. I KNOW IT! I ordered it through Kindle Prime, it fit in my mailbox and arrived exactly on time. Hope that helps.
