Great strap case as a holder or pop socket carrying handle for iPad

Although this case is quite stable, it definitely needs assembly instructions. They should have added that once the iPad is in place, it could take a lot of effort to put the pieces together. maybe even bend the sides/edges a bit so the front piece fits into the back piece. I felt (perhaps my fault) the need to put an asterisk because my initial reading of the description seemed to indicate that the front had a built-in screen protector, but that's not the case. I had to add one bought separately and put it on before assembling. Otherwise I'm happy with it. The kickstand function is a bit wonky and the plastic is a bit flimsy, but time will tell how well it holds up. The wrist strap is a great addition, especially as it swivels/pivots and locks in 45 degree increments. I use a magnetic insert in the Lightning connector, so the small plug that usually covers that port doesn't close completely, but the good news is that the plug doesn't get in the way of the magnetic cable, so it doesn't get in the way of charging and syncing. The control buttons are easily identified by bulges around the edges (no markings) and produce the correct response without undue effort (unlike the competitor's case on my mini2). Not wanting to tempt the gods, I didn't do any intentional 3-4 foot drop tests. However, I had an accidental 2-1/2 foot fall while exiting my car onto a sidewalk without damaging the case or the iPad. I have a cellular version, I did not notice any degradation in the signal after installing it in the case. The hole in the back of the case is big enough for camera and microphone functions. There are two holes in the middle - one on the top edge and one a little further back, and about even with a camera that has no function for my iPad mini4, so a mini5 will most likely fit. The front has a large V-shaped wedge opening that allows the fingerprint reader to do the job for me even though I registered my fingerprints quite a distance from my fingertip.
