Review on πŸ”« Official Rotating Attachment for NERF Commander by Justin Butler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good for ambidextrous

I wanted a foam blaster for indoor target shooting to take my mind off my homework and this one fit me perfectly. It outperformed the Nerf Rival Kronos for my use case and this review also compares my decision to purchase the Elite 2.0 Commander to the Kronos. Pros: Sleek design complemented by its cool color scheme, and I think it's more stylish than the boxy design of the Rival's plain blue, red, and white line. I appreciate the smaller and thinner profile, spinning barrel, easier reloading, and quieter firing since the bullet is used at slower FPS than the Rival bullets. You can easily tell when it's loaded by looking through the vents on the side, and there are five mounting points, which is pretty crazy for a pistol blaster. It comes with a dozen bullets, has 2 mounting points, and for less than $10 at the time of this review, the Commander is an incredible deal. I even love the little tip on the bottom handle like the nerf designers took inspiration from the john wick movies and the nerf wick is what youtube needs. An added bonus is the fun pop fire mode. Cons: At least at the time of review, there don't appear to be any official Elite 2.0 earbuds available to purchase separately, so this seems like a missed opportunity. I want to be able to fit the official Elite 2.0 stock, barrel, optics, vertical or angled grip and maybe a final clip rail to carry excess ammo. There are third-party options, but I would have preferred the official Nerf tips in the same Elite 2.0 color scheme. Hopefully Nerf has plans to release official addons for Elite 2.0 at a later date. The bullets are also less accurate than Rival bullets, so it's more about general shot direction than any metal sights (think a '90s Quake game without a standard sight).

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • So so
