Worth it, but don't be in a hurry Project

I like it. It takes time to disassemble, install and assemble a car. I have a 4 door pickup. I started with an idea of how I would set up Dynamat, but threw it away when I hit reality. I wanted to install it as 1 part, but that turned out to be impractical. I ended up dedicating a Saturday to each door. No, it doesn't take all day, but it takes time. I also gave everything on my truck: Dynamat on the inner door panel, Dynaliner on it. Again Dynamat on the inner door panel and Dynaliner under the door panel. Instead of one large piece, I used smaller manageable sections and installed them somewhere between the floor tiles and the roof tiles. He doesn't go to a car show, and he did his job. The tools you will need are a razor blade, ruler, cutting surface, tape measure, flashlights, scissors, cleaning supplies and patience. Ideally you will need 2 sets of tools. One set for the cutting area and 1 set for the assembly area. This saves a lot of running back and forth. I found rolls at a craft store. I also used a tennis ball and spatula. They come in handy in narrow and uneven areas. In addition, you can also use only your hands in other areas. It is mounted on a paper backing and impresses with its amazing rigidity. I cut out the pieces and then did a test fit. But once you start peeling off the paper, it becomes clumsy. All you have to do is reconfigure it, curse it, and learn from it. I cut out squares around the holes instead of trying to make circles. It's faster and I can reuse these squares later to touch up or fill in areas instead of cutting the original material. As the Irishman said in Braveheart, "It's mine!" The end result is a significant reduction in noise levels. This corresponds to inner ear intonation: you can still produce large and medium tones, but the smaller tones are gone. I've read a ton of articles about it and the competition and one guy wrote that they all compare to the original so why not go with the original. So I did. It smelled neither during nor after. Aside from being a small broker and scratching my hands and arms, I'm happy with the results. Take your time, plan and adapt to your setup.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
