I bought this softlight together with three side softlights from another manufacturer. I am impressed with the design of this soft light. I was afraid it would tip over or not give enough light. There are plenty of fluorescent softlights, but the power consumption and heat build-up threw me off. After setting it up and activating it, I knew I made the right choice. The rotary dimmer works very smoothly and saves even more energy. The built in LED matrix means the bulbs will not change, crack, dim and flicker over time. I was able to mount this kit to an incredible 7ft, which was perfect for me to be able to keep it out of my camera's field of view. Thanks to this softlight I managed to eliminate harsh shadows and increase the amount of light in my photoshoot. The choice of 2700k or 5400k color is a huge bonus. I chose a combination of 2700k and 5500k in my four softlight setup. There are no instructions, but it's very easy to set up with common sense and knowledge of lighting settings.
