Just what I needed for traditional laptops

I've wanted a Chromebook for a long time but couldn't justify buying it. Until recently. I've traveled out of town a few times and needed to be available for work just in case, but I didn't want to risk taking my work laptop with me when I traveled. So I bought this Chromebook. I use Chrome Remote Desktop to control my work laptop at home and it's been a great experience. With a good WIFI connection, it seems to me that I'm working on a remote computer. The keyboard is nice and I can type well. I thought I was missing function keys, but there's a system preference that treats the top row of icon keys as if they're F1-F10, and it works great. When I want to use what that key's icon is supposed to do, I just press the search key (right above the Shift key) to use those keys. Aside from being necessary for work, most of what I use my computer for is connected to the internet; searching for things, sending emails, watching videos, etc. It's great for that. I am amazed that a $200 machine can do everything I need. The color of the screen is washed out a bit, but after a few days I don't even notice it anymore. The battery life is amazing. I've been working on it for a few hours now and it says I have 9 hours of battery left.
