UPDATE -- 05/14/2019 I've been using this wax for a few months now and will give a small update. Each can lasts for about 2 months. I bought and plan to buy again. I've found that baby powder works a lot better than the oil you get with a prewax product. This minimizes the amount of wax that snags and pulls on your skin and makes it less painful. It works best when it's the hottest you can take without burning yourself. (When it is liquid and liquid. Less viscous and before it becomes viscous). Remember to always check the wax on the inside of your forearm for mild temperatures before applying to more sensitive areas. When it's in the fibrous stage I find it too cold to use and then it gets stuck and won't remove hair. Where hair grows thickest, you'll love yourself as you apply small patches. If you make big stains, you will scream with torture. Wax hurts, period. But over time it gets easier. And working on small areas at once takes longer but is less painful. I personally. I like to use this wax on more sensitive areas and then use the epilator on areas that I can tolerate. This will save you a lot of wax in the long run. It's best if you have a mirror big enough to work with when you can reach areas you can't see. I find it best to put a small amount of wax on it, apply a strip and rub in, then pull after a few seconds, that should remove it more easily. **************** ********** I tried it for the first time about an hour ago. I bought this wax exclusively for the bikini area. Overall it took about 5 minutes to melt it in the microwave. I did the first 30 seconds and then the 15 second intervals as instructed but it took over 1 minute for my microwave. I made it super hot so I didn't have to go back and microwave it again. I read and followed the instructions and did every step. I oversized the first few patches and cursed a lot for it, but it worked. I used muslin strips. After a while it stopped sticking to the strip and I couldn't figure out why. It was painful. It hurts a lot. But where he worked, he did a good job. However, I've tried both and, my god, I've never been so annoyed in my life. I had small bits of wax on individual hairs and I plucked at each one to clean it. And it hurts more Tried wax cream. That does not work. Tried hot showers, didn't help. I even tried washing the wax off, it worked (it hurt too because I was so irritated). I then spent 30 minutes removing tiny bits of wax from my skin. If you can figure out the optimal conditions for a product, it works great. But I had a long and painful session and couldn't reach every place / was too scared. Personally, I think next time I'll go see a professional. But I see that this product works well for a very experienced user, hence I give it 4 stars.
