Updated 7/3/2019: Once the cats got used to the smell/taste of this dilution in their dry food, they both looked forward to getting it twice a day as a treat. When they started eating it regularly, I noticed a marked reduction in one cat's eye discharge and another cat's sneezing. Lysine powder had never had results like this, so I completely switched to this supplement to boost her immunity. Elderly: I recently adopted 2 3 year old cats with feline herpes and the vet said they needed regular lysine supplements to boost immunity to eye and respiratory problems. You won't touch some of the other "pleasures" due to the strong smells of these products, so I gave it a try. One cat can be persuaded to eat and another will not see it as a "treat". It seems too big to her and she doesn't care about the smell. However, I divided it (each into 3 parts!) and put it on her dry food. It's eaten, but I'm not sure how to make sure they both get their share. So I also have to compensate by using lysine powder in their wet food. So I keep buying this product but the size and taste needs work.
