This is my third and I love this one. Be sure to remove the rubber gasket and wash well, otherwise they will absorb the smell and mold will grow under the gasket. I've found that a teaspoon of liquid dish soap and hot water soaked for an hour keeps it smelling fresh for the next use. .Keeps items HOT for three to four hours. After 4 1/2 hours the temperature begins to drop gradually. works for me I love cooking oatmeal in this jar; old-fashioned rolled oats, boiling water, a pinch of cinnamon. 1-1/2 hour commute to work. Prepared perfectly when I get to work. This method also works well with rolled oats, but they should stay in the jar a little longer. Children like to use them for ravioli at school for lunch. Four hours later still warm and ready for school lunch.
