Review on πŸ§” Copenhagen Grooming Beard Hero - Beard Oil: Hydrating and Nourishing Facial Hair Growth Serum for Men by Barbara Robinson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great smell always greasy

I've just started grooming my beard as the skin ages and dries (cheers to the 40s!) so I've tried a large number of beard balms, lotions , serums, waxes, oils and creams . My routine is always the same: apply a small X to your fingertips, rub into slightly damp beard against skin, and massage into hair. Then use a boar hairbrush to smooth and style the hair. My thoughts on the 7 days of using this product: Softening: Excellent 5/5 This is the best softener I have found, it softened individual hairs and made them much, much less prickly and irritating. Control: Excellent 3.5/5 My beard isn't too fluffy and smart but it does have flyaways and rogues and this product holds finer hair in place but doesn't do much for a medium or large caliber. Residue: Poor 1/5 Cheek cell phone test showed heavy transfer after product was left to sit for 35 minutes (my commute to work). A full sheen of oily serum appeared on the glass. Smell: Great! 5/5 I really liked the fresh, clean citrus scent, and those who discovered it also found it to be an excellent masculine complement, but not overpowering. Easy to use: 5/5 The dispenser is a bit fiddly, but the even dosing means you can dispense just the right amount of product. Overall I liked this product but the greasy residue was a big problem and I often found myself craning my neck to keep my beard off the collar. Other oils and serums stopped transferring to my clothes and phone within an hour or two (or if I really reduced the amount I used), but this stuff never seemed to fully soak into my hair and left that residues throughout the day. . That alone was worth 2 stars. A good beard, but a greasy collar is worse than a sloppy beard in my opinion.
