The light from the mirror spreads well, but isn't bright enough to illuminate the room on its own.
Installation requires very precise placement of the screws in the wall, then the mirror must be carefully aligned with these screws when attaching. This complicates installation in hard-to-reach places. The mirror is a bit thicker than I thought, I used wall plate for one of the mounting screws as there aren't any on the 16" centers. (I got lucky with one screw location. I didn't cut out the wall plate so it could be placed closer to the wall. Next time I'll cut out the wall plate and install the support between the studs.
