My husband and I are retired and we love to go on 3 to 4 hour hikes several times a week. We like to have a small lunch about halfway through the hike so I wanted a small pack that could accommodate a drink, snack bar, and a sandwich. In addition I usually carry a small bug spray, hand sanitizer, lip balm, small suntan lotion, tissues, comb, antiseptic, a few band aids, keys and my iPhone 6. Not only do these items all fit in my pack, but there is room for more. There is one large compartment where I put my food and iPhone, and 3 other smaller size compartments where I put the other items. This makes it easier to find the smaller items when I need them.You can use this as a side pack or back pack. There are straps in front of the drink compartment that can be extended for a side pack or tightened for a back pack. There is a strip of leather in front of the drink compartment that keeps the drink secure and there is also a loop on top of the drink compartment that accommodates most size bottles. I like feeling that my drink does not wobble when I walk.The pack appears to be made of quality materials. The sewing is very good and all the zippers work great. This is a well designed quality product.
