Grain-free food goes without saying - I've only fed my cats that way for many years. Otherwise, take care of the sick cat and the vet bills. But especially with this food: A big plus is that my very picky cat liked it right from the start. A big plus is that it's low in phosphorus, which is better for older cats. Another plus is that it is in tiny granules, which my cat prefers. Finally, a big plus is that he does not have indigestion at the same time (some foods cause vomiting). And it's the only cat food I've ever opened that smelled good enough to eat! Really fresh and healthy scent. It certainly looks like very high quality food. So why only 4 stars? A month later, he doesn't seem to want it that much anymore. Not sure why that is. But I can't say I like it when he doesn't. But he loves it! And I think it's high quality cat food. So maybe 4 1/2 stars would be more appropriate. :)
