these are really good towels. I currently have them all over my apartment. one in the bathroom, one by the stove handle, one by the sink and one by the freezer handle. When I first used them the absorbency wasn't great to be honest. However, they seem to get more and more absorbent with every wash. I try to throw them in the laundry at least once a week and none of them get hurt (knock on wood). It states that you should not use fabric softener in laundry while they are indoors and should be air dried. warm and suitable for tumble drying.
