Just put two of these in front of my dressing room door. They are mounted on top of each other. I could hang all my ties on the top one and all my belts on the bottom one. As for the height - I hung my longest strap on one of the hooks and marked the wall where the end of the strap was just above the floor, then hung the tie on the one above and marked the wall where the top should be. to the wall.
