15 minutes to start Windows - Solved

Terribly disappointed so far. After logging into Windows 10, a black screen appears for 10-15 minutes before showing the desktop and I can't find any help on this. Attempted to contact Dell but no helpful support options are provided. I tried to use chat but found that 'Chat is unavailable' - no reason, time of day, product or anything else? (But mid-Saturday - you'd think they'd offer support for a personal laptop.) The only other options they offer are Twitter (I don't use them) and Facebook. And everything I could find on Facebook is the same. Help that gets me nowhere. Nowhere have I provided any information on how to contact a real live person via phone or email - and as I said "chat is unavailable". I don't know what to do. I guess I'll have to play around with Revain to try and get them to accept a refund. Episode on Sunday, June 25th. Never been able to get any help from Dell nor anything in the self help tools. However, I decided to reset Windows (after Windows restore didn't work). After reinstalling all applications, this thing works great now. I'm giving it 4 stars now simply because Dell didn't provide support when I needed it badly and I spent two excruciating days trying to bypass that 15 minute boot process. Dell's support seems to have shrunk a lot over the years, probably to control costs and compete with all other cheap products. I'm not sure, but I think transferring apps from Laplink via PCMover could be the cause of the black screen/15 minute startup. (But I'm not swearing by it. It could still be a Dell issue, or just one of those inexplicable glitches.) After restarting Windows and reinstalling all applications from scratch, it now boots quickly. My husband found tiles very difficult to use in tablet mode. (He couldn't even find MS Outlook for his email.) But it was very easy to fix - at least for me since he gets very upset about such things. Changed the tablet mode settings to use the same screen layout and icons as a regular desktop and is very happy with it now.
