i bought these for duck hunting. I used them 1 day and walked 3 plus miles with them through water, cattails, and brush. They are still in in excellent condition. The bigger test will be when I go out to North Dakota in a couple of weeks. I am 6 feet and 205 pounds, I bought the Extra Large. The temperature in the morning was 45 degrees and they were warm enough with a layering of clothing under them. I am not sure what the difference is between the large size and the extra large size.but for my application I would not mind an XX large size so that I could have one more jacket layer under them for colder weather.
