Review on 3M Monitor Holding Monitors MA140MB by Tim Lea

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My favorite monitor!

I have 3 of these. I've tried 10 other monitor mounts and none were as good as this one! There are many reviews here, so I will not describe them all. But here are the most important ones: 1. You are strong. Holds my 43" monitor exactly where I want it. I've been doing this for 2 years now. It weighs 26 lbs. The other holds a 27" monitor + Nikon.2 DSLR perfectly. They're really flexible. All of them 3 are mounted on the back of my desk and keep the two side monitors at a good angle to the sides of my 43" monitor. This is important to me so that I can position the bottom of my 43" monitor 10" from my desk and mine 27" portrait monitor 8" from my desk. Tighten things. Need to make it that tight but not too tight so you can pull things off. I had a strip and 3M sent me a replacement. There weren't any others Problems - maybe just a bad one. The brackets on the table are quite big. They can support some pretty thick tables. My table isn't too thick, but that was very important to me. Why that? Well, I have a bar table and I had to e put it on the shelf under the table. down on my table. I didn't want to start drilling into the desktop surface (because it's so thin - only 1 inch thick) so I wanted another option. It turns out these clips are the perfect size to allow a 2x2 board (measuring 1.75" x 1.75") to slide right into the gap between the long threaded screw and the clip's back plate. Since I have 3 across the back of my desk I just put a 2x2 in and it gave me the perfect spot to hang a custom shelf. A couple of 1x2's for the tabs to keep things from sliding down, 1x6's for the bottom of the shelf and some very long screws for hanging on the 2x2's and I have a great shelf for little things like an audio mixer, power supply. Strips, Wiring and More! These mounts are a bit pricey, but they really aren't that bad for the weight they can handle. It's hard to find a good £30 mount that doesn't cost a bit more so can't complain. It's definitely worth it in my opinion.
