PROS: * 7x optical zoom. compared to my old camera (clunky old 3 megapixel codec). CONS: * Images are very grainy even at low ISO settings. * Appears to be some color loss. Even with the well-done shots, I almost feel the need to increase the saturation afterwards, because everything becomes too boring. Maybe I had too high hopes for this camera; For the list of features and the low price, I think it's unreasonable to expect bright, high-quality shots. If you plan on downsizing your images for posting/sharing on the web, that's probably good enough; if you want for something to capture high res/quality images for a desktop wallpaper or whatever I'm not worried about. Personally I wouldn't buy it again - I wish my camera savvy friend didn't get back to me before I ordered it. He recommended the canon; might keep trying there, although i never had a problem with the olympus we had at work (hard line). This one might work better outdoors (I've only used it indoors so far). although i never had a problem with the olympus we had at work (hard line).
