I gave 3 stars, but it's really either 0 stars or 5 stars. Here's what I mean: I read the reviews before ordering. There are many people who are dissatisfied with the product. Then there are the one star review responses telling buyers not to expect a flashlight! However. My experience is this: I ordered my first connector and received it as expected. I needed it, so I installed it immediately. The first impression was "LAME". The fork was barely lit, and unless it was dark I couldn't see it. I blamed myself for not trusting the reviews and my intuition. Wanting to keep it to myself, I realized that if I wrapped my arms tightly around it to create darkness, I would see a glow. Needless to say I was not satisfied with the product. Once, after using it for a while, I wrapped my arms around it and couldn't see anything. Not dark enough, I thought. So I took it to my back room and closed the door. It was total darkness and NO LIGHT! Due to the price, disappointment and Amazon's free return policy, I decided to exchange it. I got the second plugin and installed it right away. Guess what! Lights up like in the picture. Bright green, day and night. So if it's not visible during the day (as it should be useful), send it back for a new one. This is an expensive fork made cheaply with terrible quality control by Leviton. Give yourself a few extra minutes and get your money back. Since then, everything has been fine with the second. Thank you Revane for great customer service.
