Neewer is fantastic if you're looking for affordable prices for what looks like professional-grade equipment. I decided to try my hand at a Glidecam style stabilizer and stumbled upon this lovely copy. The price was perfect, the reviews seemed solid, and I figured it was better than spending hundreds of dollars on a "professional" line of this type of product, and for a while, that was fine. I was able to practice taking photos with a Sony a7III mounted on it. Feeling comfortable enough with it, I decided to take it to the wedding I was filming. It worked great on all setup and set up shots, but then a few minutes before the ceremony the screw holding the counterweight loosened and the bottom weight fell off the rig completely. I tried to screw the counterweight back on, but something had just snapped off and wouldn't reattach. The thing went in the bin on the spot, I made sure no parts got mixed up with the rest of my gear and came home with me. Despite the fact that I would never trust a paying job again, he managed to serve a purpose in learning how to work with this type of stabilizer. TLDR; It's good to practice and learn with, but it's an accident or a ruined shot waiting in the wings.
